Low Carb Food Ideas

There is crazy talk about carbs and low carb diets. It is true that low carb diets are effective but they are not natural (which is not reason not to be on low carb diet and what does it mean natural diet lol).

Almost every food contains carbs and maybe you struggle to find out low carb foods. Take it easy, there is a very short list with low carb foods and you can learn it simply by heart. Learn what to eat on low carb diet.

My recommendation is to give a try of a low carb diet, watch results and after you lose some weight start eating foods that are not so low of carbs but contain only good carbs like – oat meal, rice, and wholegrain bread – and of course limit the quantity of these foods.

Here is nice a low carb dessert recipe which is one of my favorite:

Milk and Raisins Cream

Take a cup of milk (app. 200-300 ml or max to 10 oz), heat it until it boils, add 2 oz of raisins, leave them to boil 1 minute. Stir a spoon of flour with some not cold water until it becomes not dense gruel. Add the flour to the boiling milk and raisins while stirring (1 minute stirring is enough).

I like to eat this cream cold or warm. If the raisins are not enough sweet, than add a small spoon of honey, but don’t put too much, because this is a low carb recipe lol.

My Favorite Diets

I like to create diets for me. It is natural habit to count how many carbs, protein and fat I eat with every meal and before I go to bed I know exactly how much I eat. After I draw up my calorie balance I decide whether next day I will eat light or nourishing.

There is nothing scary if you eat a lot for a day, just eat lighter the next day. I call this to hold the equilibrium and it is good technique once you achieved your desired weight.

My New Weight Loss Web Site

I started weight loss site where I write articles that are more serious and I want them to be organized in a site. See it here Quick Weight Loss Programs.

On the blog I will post more casual things, like what I eat this day, what I read, what I found, you know more "informal" things. Like today I was on the beach, had 2 hours sunbath, drunk 2 cups of ice tea. I skipped the breakfast (only a cup of cold coffee). For lunch I had Vegetable Moussaka (see the recipe below) and plenty of water melon (I like it in the hot summer days).

Tonight I will go with my family to have a dinner in one tiny fish restaurant, so I will have my protein portion for the day (I believe that every day I must eat some carbs, fats and protein).

Now the Vegetable Moussaka

Cut 4-5 middle size potatoes in pieces big like a nail. Peel 1-2 tomatoes and cut them the same size like potatoes, do the same with one fruit of aubergine, cut 2 heads of onion - stew all ingredients in a hot non stick frying pan with 3-4 spoons of olive oil for 20 mins.

Pour everything in a large baking dish and bake for 10 mins.

Prepare the cover - mix 2-3 stirred eggs with a pound of low fat yogurt than pour this over the meal in the baking dish, bake until the cover become light brown or gold :)

Mmmm, I like this recipe, because it is rich of fiber and good carbs.
